Troubleshooting Accelevents:
Having trouble accessing the event?
Here are some tips from Accelevents. If you are still having trouble, please email us at team@widspugetsound.org with the subject “Conference Troubleshoot - Access Event”
Enter with the same email address used to register for the event.
Double check the email address you used to register for the event or create your Acclevents account. You should have received either an email with your ticket from events@accelevents.com with the subject “Your Ticket for Women in Data Science Puget Sound”
If you forgot your password, reset it at https://www.accelevents.com/u/password-reset.
Enter the email address you registered with, then click Reset my password.
Check your email for password reset instructions in an email from account@accelevents.com with the subject “Recover Password”
Browsers:
You can use the Acccelevents system checker here
Use the recommended browser, Chrome
Install Chrome: https://www.google.com/chrome/
Make sure your browser is up to date
In Chrome: Restart browser to automatically update
How to manually update or check version of Chrome: https://www.google.com/chrome/update/
Refresh your page
On Windows: Ctrl + F5
On Mac: Command(⌘) + Shift + R
Clear your browser’s cache
In Chrome: “Settings” > “Privacy and security” > “Clear browsing data” > “Clear data” > select “Cached images and files”, click “Clear data”
Try accessing the event page in an incognito window in Chrome
On Windows: Ctrl + Shift + N
On Mac: Command(⌘) + Shift + N
Restart your device
Try other recommended browsers, Safari and Firefox
Check internet connection / speed (should be ≥5mbs)
Enable camera, microphone, and pop-ups in browser
Disable hardware acceleration to ensure everyone can see and hear your video
Click the 3 dot menu at the top-right corner of the browser window
Click Settings
Click Advanced
Click Systems
Disable Use hardware acceleration when available
Click Relaunch
If you plan to share your screen, enable screen recording
Disable firewalls and/or VPNs (e.g. malware, AVG)
