Interacting with the Speakers

During the session: 

• You can join the session you’re interested in by going to the session tile from the agenda tab. Click to join. Once in the session, you will have the following options: 

  • Chat: 

    • Visible to all attendees. 

    • Open prior to, and after, the live event. 

  • Q&A: 

    • You have the option to ask questions publicly or privately. 

    • Once you submit a question it will appear in the “Open” tab. Once answered, it will move to the “Answered” tab. 

  • Polls: 

    • Speakers may decide to use polls. If so, your responses will be pooled with others and not identifiable.

Your audio and video will be disabled unless you are in a workshop. More information on the workshop will be provided in the next few weeks.

After the session:
We have also set up lounges for continued discussions following the talks. These can also be used for subject-specific discussions throughout the conference. More information on these will be coming in the next few weeks. 

Sponsor Interaction

This year interactions with our generous sponsors is greatly improved!  You will be able to enter their Expo Booth, start a conversation and ask questions in the chat, review videos, links and documents from the Sponsors, as well as set up meetings with the company’s representatives.  When you enter the Expo booth and interact with their information, chat or meetings, a lead is developed for the Sponsor team to let them know you were there and are interested in them for employment or their products and services.  

We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to meet and network with each Sponsor’s team!  And thank them!  It is their generosity that has enabled us to keep this online event free and showcase the work of great women in the data science field!
